On the farm - smartGAPP practicability-check.
Pilot farms across Germany becoming pioneers on the path to sustainable agriculture. They are testing smartGAPP.
With smartGAPP, you can already get a taste of what future agricultural subsidies might look like. Across Germany, pilot farms are testing public good bonus 3D (PGB 3D) model in a realistic simulation. The results show that the principle is suitable for all farms – regardless of their production focus, size or farming method.
Our group of smartGAPP pioneers is just as diverse: they are testing the PGB 3D system for practicality, smartGAPP application for user-friendliness – and are putting our shared vision through its paces. Their valuable feedback is fed directly into the further development of the system and the app.
These farmers are bringing the idea to life: they are demonstrating what sustainable farming can look like on the farm and in the field – and highlighting the potential that lies in the agriculture of tomorrow.
The nationwide field testing of PGB 3D is supported by the extensive network of Landcare Germany (DVL) . Together, its members work closely with around 15,000 farms to support nature conservation and biodiversity management. In addition, more than 3,900 municipalities, 190 rural districts and 47 urban districts are members of the Landcare network. This nationwide network and the long-standing, trust-based cooperation with farmers provide the foundation for implementing field testing on this scale.
